We love food, we love travelling, and it so amazing we can adventuring street food around the world with humorius, exciting, friendly and lovely street food man, Ishai Golan. From the show, i know not only the delicious street food in many country, but also the history and culture behind it. And the most important is the show tells a lot about how important to connecting people, knowing and respecting the other tradition, even the peace. This man really teach me about mingling with the local population. And it really familiar with my condition now, i live far from home in Borneo.

“I love market, i love simple food; i love the knowledge of people in the market. When our shoots end, I stay at the market. When we were shooting in Bangkok, we would shoot a scene toward the end of the day at a bar in the market, and finish up, and then we’d all find ourselves staying there, drinking some more, eating some more, not wanting to leave, becoming real friends with the people we were just shooting. And this happends again and again.”

“The thing i’ve noticed is, the poorer the country would be, the more generous the people would be. I see this again and again. In the poorest countries. I receive the most wonderful gifts from merchants. I was in a perfume stand in a market in India, it was literally in the street, just this guy making his own perfumes. He probably makes a dollar a day. And then at the end of the shoot, he gave me his special perfume as a gift for my wife. And you see that it’s from the bottom of his heart.

And the shocking fact is that Ishai Golan, the actor i adore recently is Israel person. I am muslim, i am from Indonesia, the most big population of muslim in the world. As muslim we really hate Jews. They kill thousand muslim from children to old people, everyday and everywhere in Palestine, Iran, and other Islam Country. They kill human, bomb, torture muslim without compassion. We think they are not human, they are too monster. It’s about the never end war between muslim and jews.
You know it so frustrating me, maybe it’s true that always there are good people in a group of bad people, and there are bad people in a group of good people.
Also same story in criminal. Islam is a peace religion, we are not supposed to kill people. It is a big sin. But many people have wrong perception about this. Many muslim kill people, bombs, kidnapped, the west people because they are the country that contribute of murder in Palestine. Kill the people that even are not relation and be responsible of it. And the rumor appears, muslim is well-known in turorist.
This story is learning that now we must not judge people from where are they from, who’s their father, etc. Because there’re always different fact, and it is not what we see, hear, judge is always true.
